AP ki budget surplus undha? With over 2.5 lakh youth registering for 'Mukhyamanthri Yuvanestham' scheme in Andhra Pradesh, it seems like the unemployment allowance is already a big hit in the state. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu officially launched the scheme today. Under the scheme, the government will give Rs. 999 as monthly unemployment allowance to the eligible, jobless youth in the state. The allowance will be credited into the bank account of the beneficiary by the first week of every month. While the unemployment allowance has been on cards for over a year, the timing of its launch 8 months before elections indicates that this could be TDP's strategy to pull youth towards the party. In the 2014 elections, TDP gained youth votes because of Pawan Kalyan's public support and campaigning for the party. But now, with Jana Sena and YSRCP taking up tours across Andhra Pradesh to attract youth, the unemployment allowance seems to be TDP's bait for the youth in AP for 2019 elections. |
