Mrhyderabad:

My best was 8 and half minutes. But I achieved it through practice and really really good running shoes. Shins ki compression sleeves also helped.

Mrhyderabad:

Dont know what is this parkour running

But just finished running 5.25 miles in 58 mins this morning... my best so far

6 miles in 1 hour seems just impossible

Means you are in decent shape. 9 minutes a mile is considered average American fitness standard.

nothing is impossible bro..things get better when you practice practice practice...in my early phases i was thinking just like you..how these guys are doing a half marathon in less than 2 hrs...at that moment i was taking close to 2:20 hrs to complete a half..but after months of practice these days even i can do it less than 2 hrs..my PR is 1:59..now i'm aiming to complete it in 1:40..so just keep on practicing..one day you will say 6 miles in 1 hour is an easy task

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein

not very practical in later 30 or 40's. if you were 20 maybe

yes..its not practical for people above 35 it seems unless you are very fit.

anyway those flips and all need gymnastic skills that need to be learned early in the age.

Nisarga:

yes brothers knees r the problems for me too.. i have weak knees ... it feels like running like at least run 10% of those parkour free running guys....but knees dont support ...
but still running normally

i have given up on running after a laser surgery to my knee, an accident during a volley ball game. i usually dont like team sports(well atleast at this age), so always try to find solitary acts i can find.

Mental_sachinodu:

free running was my favorite... drive down to the nearest mountain park... early in the morning around 5 to 530.. and just run, jump over the shrubs, rocks.. hillocks.. streams... biking and those runs were my favorite...

i cant do it now.. my knees wont support. bought a kayak recently... planning to go down some streams next year... hopefully... thats something i can do rest of my life.
