This is FALSE. As per the Indian Constitution, PIO card is already deemed to be an OCI card. There is no cancellation of OCI card. But technically they cant be used after This month end. How? MANY of the PIO cards are not electronically readable(that was the system in place when they are being issued in the past). So, any airport (as far as I know all airports) which doesnt have manual processing system, only electronic readers, cant recognize the PIO cards(as a matter of fact, any non-electronically readable travel documents), thus they cant permit you to board the flights. So, avva = thatamma, thathamma = avva... go and get the electronically readable documents if you have any non-electronically readable travel docs. For rest of the purposes (if any) Indian constitution cant reject a PIO card(which is a OCI card as per the Government Order) | ||

you do' have to get new OCI, just take old one, nenu last two passports cary chestunnanu ma ammyeki India vellinappudu, no issues at 16 years and @ 50 you need to get new OCI card, | ||

As per rules yes, passport maarinappudalla OCI update cheyinchaali..paatha book theesukuni meeku kottha book isthaadu with new passport number...the other way is just carry old passport while travelling without updating oci, but it is the immigration officers discretion whether to honor that or not | ||
