We weren't walkovers in SA or Eng. So, Shastri can be miffed about these questions. Difference from the past teams to now is that we have better bowling (albiet the resources being almost same except Bhumrah) and higher expectations. Only one thing on my wish list for Australia: Need a solid opening pair. If we get good opening partnerships, rest of the batsmen will succeed. Kohli did bring some excellent changes into the team. -- Bhumrah - Before SA series he was labeled as a limited overs specialist. Picked him on SA series and did not look back since then. -- Kuldeep - Excellent pick again. But ee series lo correct game padaledu. -- Rohit - He was bold enough to try him in the first 2 tests of overseas series. We know how it went. But he also muddied up by dropping based on labels. Players like Bhuvi (flat track worry - in form in SA) and Pujara (Slow scoring - SriLanka first test, England first test) ... Most of his changes have been on aggressive side because he is going for the kill. They didn't work. May be, he needs to balance these two. A pragmatic coach would do wonders with Kohli. Kohli has that problem when he is in aggressive mode..meaning trying to work the ball to leg side..of incoming or straight balls..to score runs.. Kohli's bigger problem is reaching out to the ball leaving him..with hands ahead of leg/body..(he has curtailed that to great extent in this series) | ||
