Agree with you 100%. My team has 2 employees working remotely from Latin America, 2 Indians and 2 white folks in Bay Area One white folk always complains about stress and takes a sick day off whenever there is a critical issue, this has been a recurring issue, planning to put him on PIP and hire 2 more engineers out of Latin America, they are reliable, smart and get their work done on time | ||

As long there is a culture for a project to be successfully executed in a competitive environment, h1b’s r required. More than their talent h1b’s provide a stability to a project by give their 100% efforts. If I am an employer I am ok to loose a talented guy but I will like to have ppl who gives their 100% work for me. I personaly feel USCIS should reevaluate their h1b definition. | ||

Very much possible. But I am speaking from my experience. When we let go a bunch of people in 2008 -2010 timeframe, it was mostly citizens. It is not because they can't get the job done. But because they weren't as efficient as H1s. Then again in 2014 to 2016. Horrible period for oil industry. Contractors kept the jobs but not FT employees. Reason being, they are not counted towards headcount. Reduction in headcount matters at quarterly results.
