It didnt come cheap, I have sacrificed many other things for the work satisfaction and flexibility :-) but I am happy now, also can be even happier further.. Tech junky in Silicon Valley with freedom to work on the interested (especially open source) mess, way to enjoy the (professional) life :-) | ||

First and far most, I didnt work for ANY Indian company so far (not a Consulting/services/mnc or any Indian company). Having said that, its not my own experience. Mostly what I hate in Services company is 1) Bossing/Buttering.. 2) Always lookiong through the revenue(per head billing etc, even I hate to start with the CTC(cost to the company) on the job request itself. I hate it. 3) Always Indian companies ask what is your current salary. I hate it, why do they care about what is my current salary? They should care about what is the value of their job's functional deliverable, how capable I am for that particular deliverable. Anything else(my current salary/color/race etc are immaterial). 4) Many places would get a feel of personalized in their decisions from the moment they see the resume to actually see the person in-person. 5) There is a big fleet which is just to maintain politics (head count, deliverable, ROI, squeezing 24 hours from the candidate while paying for 8 hours or less. There are many like this. There is no pleasure of innovation, just running the $$ mills with an yield. I know there are amazingly excellent folks in companies like Infy etc but they are being grilled in $$ mills than an innovative atmosphere.. I dont like it. Fortunately, I am lucky so far to choose what I want to work :-) | ||

With your message, I re read my last message. I didnt see (may be missing some other point of views of my fist two sentences ? Can you refer and point me where I am contradicting myself, I will accept it if I find them with your help. On the other hand, Freedom for hardworking(regardless of immigrants or any other class) is required. This is the REASON that you and me are on this land today. No doubt in my mind about it. But if you take statics, Lets consider that this bill is passed and per-country quota is lifted, what would happen after say, first 2 to 5 years? Can you run the statistics for that time compared to whats today? The entire tech industry is full of permanent Indian/Chinese ruling. Whats wrong with it? Its dangerous for America to get into the hands of few classes of human force. Read more about the history of immigration in US, it may give an idea of why, when these limitations are started on the free immigration process over a period of time. Before requesting the removal of this per-country restrictions, consider evaluating what would be the issues if they lift and why there is a lot of resistance on lifting this? Socio, Economical, cultural issues once those issues are not making sense in a sensible way, Of course I will stand corrected (truth is truth). (I go a lot to talk/write around it, but its all going to be non sense if either me or the listener is stuck to their point) | ||

This law will not pass and Should not pass from US diversity point of view. EB immigration is a peanut in the ocean of US historical and future integrity and diversity point of view. If I am in congress, I will never allow. Imagine, all tech companies(and other few sectors) are full of Indians, what would happen to US? Indians may completely take over many US companies and economy. Its very dangerous to the country. Already Tech companies are partially influenced by Indian IT culture here in America. So, Logically it doesnt fly. I am not against Indians but for any country integrity with diversity is a need to survive with their signature underlined. | ||
