Such huge capital intensive projects needs many years to reach breakeven and phase-1 is still not fully operational to analyze the profitability Metro phase 2 is taken up by HMRL directly.It is not part of L&T. HMRL will build the phase-2 and L&T may operate the metro or both phases may be operated independently on revenue sharing with common ticketing L&T will operate phase 1 for 30 years and transfer the assets to HMRL (unless if the contract is not renewed/extended) | ||

was wondering why Phase 1 was not extended out to BHEL, Patancheru.. so these are being connected with the route that goes to Hi-tech City and onwards to Mehdipatnam? .. these should also be connected to the current route that starts from Miyapur and onwards | ||

Myhome valla project naaku telisi around Nagaram deggara ekkado planning.. akkadi daaka metro velladam doubt ae..velthe nen bhi happies from what I could understand..this phase is covering all of hi-tech city and towards Mehdipatnam to Airport ..different locations.. whoever is already using ORR on that sector to come to Hi-tech can take metro..when it becomes operational.. | ||

This corridor will have 22 stations, and land up to four acres is required for parking and circulations. As per preliminary plans, the stations are likely to come up at BHEL, Madinaguda, Hafeezpet, Kondapur, Kothaguda junction, Shaikpet, Rethibowli, Mehdipatnam and Lakdi ka pul. With airport-bound traffic increasing considerably, efforts are on to extend Metro connectivity to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Shamshabad. About 60 acres of land is required for a depot at Budvel or Shamshabad. Airport connectivity is being planned via Raidurg, Biodiversity Junction, Khajaguda, TS Police Academy, Rajendranagar and Shamshabad. It is likely to be a high-speed rail on the airport route unlike the conventional rail on the existing Phase I routes. |
