Greece i part of EU kada. How can they let one country spoil the whole idea. On last count Greece owes EU around 300b mostly to Germany They could not afford to let it fail for the broader EU idea.. Otherwise Greece bad 30% unemployment and bad regular ECB interventions basically they are managing a soft launch. They proposed their debt into a 100+ year perpetual bonds with 0 interest . What’s this comedy. Venezuela is mostly oil export dependent but their break even price of one of be highest. Which means it costs more to produce oil and hence they need high oil prices to make money. And why do they take high cost than other countries? That’s because of guaranteed employment and social schemes. When people are fed with free money and schemes with no check of quality and productivity costs will be high. Add to it heavy All expenditure is govt funded. So wher does govt get money when ppl are not productive. You either print more money (basically running a Ponzi scheme) or you borrow outside. Obviously Currency will crash. It’s a bloody cycle. New age economics won’t work basically to break the cycle you have a temporary barter system or external influence to get basic services and economy running. Slowly you use ppl better and hope to have a productive economy. But too much people with few people to let this happen. Won’t happen soon Btw what’s he point of currency pegging. Many countries have and many do not. But they don’t have same crisis | ||
