Very much possible.. and lingayat reason also would have added North side Hindu temples ni destroy chesinantha south lo cheyyaledu (relatively speaking).. is it because southern rulers compromised smartly or they blocked valiantly? One thing for sure you can’t fight/siege for long in an ate far from your base- reinforcements take time - any raiding army will have to keep their way back secure.. when you come deep down the peninsula into a terrain you are not used to and your force keeps reducing.. you can only do so much Somnarh temple etc in north were destroyed multiple Times.. Southern India got properly conquered when people started reach them by sea and sea control was established-!even then south royalty/culture stayed more or less intact I could be totally wrong | ||

one of the primary reasons could be that this temple wasnt built by the vijayanagara rulers..chalukyas build chesaru ga and they dont have enemity with the sultanate and thats why it was left as is anedi oka reason antaru..if u see, krishnadeva raya time lo kattina temples ni destroy chesaru ee tulak lamdiks, like the lakshmi narasimha temple etc | ||

In 1565 in battle of tallikota, when vijaya nagara empire lost to sultanates all the temples were thoroughly destroyed but why virupaksha temple in centre of the empite and tallest structure till date was spared ..till today it is intact and awesome....what can be the reason....???
