Don’t go with desi realtor who is a part timer. Vaadu santakam podisi 1k denkatam lo matrame good. Check trend in har, houston varaku it is best. Which area are you trying to sell? Woodlands ayithey just lease it, it’s better than selling.

Seattle calculation...assuming you find a buyer in a month
4% agent commissions + 1.8% excise tax + 1% title and escrow fees + 1% staging and touch-ups before selling + 2% cost of maintaining a vacant home for 2-3 months

Sometimes will be more, sometimes will be less depending on how much touch-ups are needed and selling time...but more or less 10% is a good rule of thumb. If it sits on the market for a few months, the cost will be more.

Vaammo vinadaaniki bhayamestundi. so...planning well is a prerequisite, no matter how this whole thing turns out...

Gotcha:

is the house u bought new or old. usa lo illu konagame ayipodu daani upgrade chesta undali to keep it interested if planning to sell. bay area seattle lanti areas ok kaani migata anni chotla upgrades undali illu ki or u really bought it for cheap so selling for cheap

Gawt it... did not think on these lines.

My advice with past experience, do not go with agents offering low commissions especially desi realator who is doing IT job and doing relator job as part time. They are good for buying but not for selling.

Check the relator back ground and ask his past sales in last 3 to 6 months. Couple of open houses during weekends will help to sell the home fast. Also hire a photographer usually charge $200-$250 and get quality pictures and post them. Some times the realator will do that. Good luck

I had this confusion always...now it's clear.

So "anywhere from 4-6% of the total sale price" is a dent into the profit directly....

They are many agents that will list for 1%...you will pay 4% total (3% for buyer and 1% listing agent). Redfin does it for 1% but i think you should be able to find a better agent locally for the same cost.

Things that i did not like about Redfin...the listing never showed up on zillow which has the highest traffic among all real estate sites. Redfin agents generally not as sharp as good agents.

helloall..

Can someone please tell me what I should look for while selling my home? We have to list our townhome for sale and move to a different city..

Agents typical commission entha teeskuntaru ? Any tips & tricks I have to keep in mind ? While buying, I didnt pay any commission to the agent, I think buyer/seller agents split 6% paid by seller.

Any agencies you can refer in Houston ?

appreciate your inputs..
