same boat and travelled last year. i took visa on arrival, and the immigration guy shouted at me and said why do you waste money. also OCI lo two types untaaayi... if the old passport was stamped with "U" visa then you don't need to reprint oCI or no visa required. Received this whatsapp forward All OCI holders please read carefully. If your pic was done before the age of 50 then on reaching the age of 50 you must renew your OCI once your passport expires. You cannot travel to India using your old passport and OCI. OCI must be renewed. If the OCI was done after the age of 50 then when your passport expires you do not have to renew OCI. You can use your old OCI and passport when you travel to India. Same applies to children who's OCI was done before the age of 20. Recently my colleague and friend travelled to India on Air India direct flight to Ahmedabad. On arrival at Ahmedabad airport the immigration stopped him as his OCI was not renewed. He was carrying his old passport and OCI. He was handed over to the airline. Air India then sent him to Mumbai and was told that he will be put on the next available flight to London. At Mumbai he spent a day and a half at the airport. Then he was sent back to London. All airports in India have been told to act strictly for non compliance of the OCI rules. Please do not take it lightly and renew your OCI immediately before you travel. | ||

My daughter passport got expired we got new passport but OCI has old one. Travel chesina vallunnaraa recent gaa? CKGS vadiki call chesthe e-visa thesukomannadu adhi kuda maa travel date lo ravatledhu. Many people said in forums we can travel with old and new passports. |
