So if Broadcom was a an US , Europe , India , Canada or some other country .. you don't have any issue... right !! That is where we differ .. not at acquisition .. nothing to do with trump !! they haven't moved yet, though majority of the execs are US and company headquarters are in US there is no guarantee that company stays like this down the line after acquisition...this is the chinks strategy it is going to be long term plan..and with out valid reason by blocking this deal US is not going to gain anything..what ever is the reason good for america look at google in china, they moved out, how they are controlling US companies..there is nothing wrong in protecting US interest | ||

That is fair argument . I have couple of issues against this 1) the relevant INtelligence community procurement policy will have safeguard built in. 2) same applies for every product DoD uses that is manufactured out of US. So this doesn't seem to national security concern. Rest of what you are are stating Is a (genuine) IP concerns !! I am not for the merger but here is where I will contradict you .. Broadcom moved its headquarters to US. Majority of its executives are Americans. And Broadcom made an acquisition of another US company last December .. What are the guidelines or blocking the merger. If Trump say IP protection just like how you said, I will take that answer !! Future M&A lo kuda clarity vuntadhi!! | ||

there is a reason why he blocked it.. broadcom is Singapore based company, most of the intelligent community uses qualcom chip sets , imagine the whole company is going to foreigners they have complete grip on internal architecture of chip sets. plus you are going to loose the technology to chinks as they are very good at reverse engineering keys teesukelli dogodiki ichinattu if this merger happens.. qualcom invested heavily in 5g R and D, US is loosing lot of intellectual property by selling their companies to chinks even obama time they stopped other chip making company acquisitions.. we need to protect america, chinks are very desperate to get hold of the technology .. | ||
