What i noticed was these web conference calls are totally going mute, to avoid background noise, for the listener. On our regular phones, there is slight background noise/feedback which is missing in Web Conferences. If a person is not used to that it feels like the line is disconnected. So I think the offshore person is not yet used to that lack of faint noise on the other side. They might be new and eager to impress. Also back home we think fluency is speaking too fast, that concept might also be in play. | ||
