He clearly likes adulation, loves people and wants relationships (like with his family) but he does not accept that (most likely to himself too). I feel he may be denying himself certain things because his own world view comes in the way and ego cannot accept the reality. He says he does not think movies effect society when he himself was effected by GodFather, says Vijayawada and gang fights changed his life, says Satyendra and Nietzhe and Ayn Rand influenced his thinking ... but thinks society lo yevadi choice vaadidi and his actions won't have consequences.
