too bad. i had a bad experience, but its trivial compared to your story.

chennai nunchi direct international flight ledu, so we had to fly to mumbai and then to frankfurt. we kept hearing the same story that the flight is delayed by another 20 minutes.

at last one passenger called mumbai AI on speaker, and the news is that the flight we are supposed to board never left the originating airport and chennai is aware of that . she made AI chennai write a letter for each passenger, that we should be taken care of in mumbai for one day stay and our next flights.

mind block aindi, never ever checked the fare on AI flights

Ippudu Hyd, Mumbai, Delhi airports lo Jet Airways or Air India or any airport personnel, chinna info adigithey, woh mera kaam nahi hai bhaiyya ani respond avuthunnaaru.. donga naa kondeys...
I don't see any change. Air India is a loss business. Govt stake ammeskuni fully privatize chesthey mottaanike mooskuntadi.

Sorry to hear ur experience. I traveled 5-6 times and had decent experience..agreed their seats are not very comfy..food n entertainment are avg but better than any us airways

1) On a medical emergency, ended up in booking with Air India Code share (with Singapore Air)(google more details about Airlines Codeshare) for a very huge price. Air India took my money, booked ticket. On my return, I need a change in my return flight date as my visa stamped passport(those days of Drop box visa) arriving late. I am eligible for date change as per my ticket. Called AI, no one lifts phone AT ALL.. tried several times. Came to Hyd, stayed in Hotel and visited AI office(Opp to Assembly) there I need to go every morning, wait in the line, just to know if I have a flight available on that day. If not, next day .. like that with family for several days. At last I got flight one day. Went to airport Hyd. There I was not given Boarding pass for SIG to SFO but was told that our names were not yet updated in their system and we can get our boarding passes in Singapore airport. We have traveled. Reached Singapore airport early morning 7 30 AM. went to get boarding pass. Singapore airlines said that our names are not on their system, no boarding passes. I was asked to contact Air India(as I have purchased the code shared ticket from Air India). As usual, no one lifted the calls from Air India in Singapore Airport). My connection flight is in the next one hour(as per the Air India given Itinerary). I was asked to run to Terminal 2, ran to take a train(with family) to get to the Air India counter in Terminal 2 in Singapore Air lines. When I reach there NO ONE is there. But there is a free phone at Air India counters(need help phone) Lifted, no one responded. Ran back to Terminal 1 on train. Spoke to Singapore Airlines, they said that they cant give a boarding pass its Air India needs to approve it before. We were helpless what to do, flight has already arrive and left. After several hours also Air India didnt respond. Eventually after begging Singapore Airlines(they are very helpful and courteous), they told me that I should go to each and every boarding counter flights leaving for SFO by Singapore Airlines, beg them if someone didnt show to board, they would check you in. Like that we got into diff flights diff times at the mercy of Singapore Airlines, reached SFO like dead rats(we dont have meal as there is no Veg meals since its a drop in accommodation of seats). Tried to call Air India in US to report it, no one lifted the phones. Sent letter of report in mail, no one gave a FKKK about it. I was not even put a stop on my credit card as I ran out of the time. (This is a very trimmed and short cut summary. Reality is real bad). Tell me, do you need another story to hate such pigs?

i saw rats and roaches, they are roaming freely on flight..

good thing about air india is their pilots are very experienced and very good in handling tough situations

I had the WORST possible experiences with them as a customer. WORST is the WORST...

I am okay if the flights are old but the employees are like pigs, settled in the thick mud... I had few TERRIBLE experiences dealing with them as a flyer, I have never had at least 1% of that difficulty with ANY OTHER Airlines that I/My family used for the travel over two decades so far.

Way to go to offer 50% FDIs into Air India. Then only these fat-yeass age old, sontha jaageer laa jeeahal dobbi, inka denni pattinchukoni employees would learn hard core lessons .. Singapore Air is trying to take the FDI stake in Air India. I will definitely fly in the non-Air India run Air India flights...
