Well-known singer Ghazal Srinivas who was arrested on the charges of sexual harassment received a shock. A city court in Hyderabad rejected the bail plea of the singer. The magistrate rejected the bail petition filed by Srinivas. He was arrested on January 2 for sexually harassing a woman in the office of Save Temples Organisation and remanded to judicial custody till January 12. The prosecution opposed Ghazal Srinivas’ bail petition on the ground that if released on bail, he will tamper with the evidence or influence the witnesses. The court agreed with the argument and refused to grant bail to the accused. Police filed case against the singer on the basis of video evidence furnished by the complainant. WE THE NORTH |
