EP Decision if it is True. All these H1B --> GC --> US Citizenship path travelers followed all the existing laws and played according to the law/rules. It is like changing the goal posts during the game. It is not like if these people are gone, americans can come start doing their jobs as these are skilled jobs which a person need to be thoroughly trained before he/she can be employed. This is not like illegal immigrants jobs. Also, if the majority of the skilled workers are in foreign countries, the work will go to those countries easily. A proposed US bill is full of ores conditions and unprecedented obligations for both Indian companies and clients relying on H-1B program. If the proposal gets approved, it can lead to large-scale deportation of H-1B visa holders. Nasscom, the Indian software has flagged the H-1B visa related concerns with the senators, congressman, and the administration. The Indian software body will further follow up with the Trump administration over proposed legislation. The proposal is aligned with âBuy American, Hire Americanâ vision by the President Donald Trump. If the proposal is approved it can lead to the potential deportation of 500,000 to 750,000 Indian H-1B holders. This will have a serious impact on the Green Card applicants. The proposed bill protects the local jobs for American by introducing new restrictions to prevent the abuse of H-1B visas. The fresh restrictions in terms of minimum salary and movement of talent will highly affect the visa-dependent companies. A serious impact for high specialty workers waiting for their Green Card. According to the statistics, over 750,000 existing H-1B holders will be impacted if the Trump administration approves the new proposal. According to the report by Hindustan Times, by imposing the stricter norms, the Trump administration is trying to create a sort of âself-deportationâ of hundreds of thousands of tech workers. The deportation will open the jobs for Americans. An unnamed source in homeland security office has given a statement to McClathy DC Bureau. The bill not only prescribes higher minimum wages but also places the onus on companies to certify the visa holders. The companies will no longer be able to displace an existing employee for a tenure of 5-6 years. The House Judiciary Committee in the US has already passed the bill, which is now headed for the US Senateâs approval.
