By now we have to understand how Trump operates. A building will be built and he charges to put his name on it . That is the fundemental principle. USPS was a necessity. One of government responsibility to ensure connectivity within country. Their prices are subsidized for general public. That is one of the reasons you pay federal taxes. As far as I know Amazon doesn't exclusively benefit from USPS. uPS has a mail innovations wing which uses USPS for delivery. Their might have been a advisor meeting where they discussed USPS funding. And trump used that to assosciate his adversary 'Amazon' and take a cheap shot. When he receives support for these kind of tweets, it emboldens him to make even more . Amazon will create it's own delivery system in the next few years. UPS, USPS etc have to play along. There is no negotiation unless it comes from the government.
