It is very interesting to note the differencce between these3 countries. Australia Fast and very bouncy. Very little swing with new ball. Can have reverse swing. Challenge is bounce. No spin pitches. But spin is based on wear and tear of pitch. 2. England - Lot of swing especially lateral both off pitch and air. Less reverse swing. Not that bouncy. Challeng is Swing. No spin pitches. But spin is based on wear and tear of pitch. 3. SA It is a mix of both England and SA. Pitches are fast, medium bouncy, with swing. No spin pitches. But spin is based on wear and tear of pitch. Indians normally do reasonable well here if you recall. We end up winning at least one test in the series in the last two series. |
