If you are USC you will get Full retirement benefit at 66 no matter which country you live in subject to taxes, on a average salary of 100k between now and then you will get up to $2600 per month If you are not a USC but GC you have to live in the US to get the benefit, same amount If you are not a USC and no GC you dont get anything. Final amount you get depends on average you make from now and the year you retire. Consider this simplified, hypothetical example: Jill earned $50,000 for 35 years; her average earnings per year are $50,000. 10 years or 15 years doesn't matter. you need to have 40 credit points to get pension. it doesn't matter in how many years you will achieve that many points. max 4 points you can earn per year. after earning 40 points if you leave this country irrespective of the status you will get pension. no doubt in that, i did research on all the forums and they are valid. | ||
