I have 6 echos in my home for every room and mainly used flr cross room communication as intercom... worth every penny.. go for dot version as its good enough I preordered google home mini and will arrive in a day or two.. can post comments after that.. currently I have ADT, philips hue, samsung smart things, bose soundtouch 300 , schlage lock integrated woth echo and works wothout any issues | ||

i dont have both - but I lost faith in google products. they have been pushing half baked products for so long and the quality disintegrates eventually.. Nenu Google home use chestunna. Configured my Google voice number to the device. If I say, call mother, it calls Indian number at 1c/min. I have added all my music to Google play music library. If I ask GH to play a track, it plays that. You don't need a YT red subscription. If you ask GH to play a video on TV, it bypasses the YT subscription. Didn't try Echo or Dot. I have both. My kids like Google Home better. Of course maybe because I don't have any smart home features enabled on either device yet. They like the integration with Android TV ("Play Roar by Katie Perry on Living Room"). Homework - they use Google Home exclusively for fact checking and getting the meaning of difficult words. Most of the time, Alexa doesn't answer the questions properly. | ||
