Sorry to spoil the party - but this is Re-Opening. this was originally inaugurated around 2010 by the then Minister of State for Family and Health GandhiSelvan and the OP Department and has been working since then. It has been inaugurated again by the current PM -maybe as part of the stimulus package :-) | ||

bold move. it will either make or break the faith on this. It will be interesting to see how unbiased the research will be. Will they de-certify something as of medicinal value, if the results are negative. Clinical trials are long, expensive procedures, will the Ayurveda products be cost effective - have to wait and see. | ||

The institute will focus on fundamental research of Ayurveda, drug development, standardization, quality control, safety evaluation and scientific validation of Ayurvedic medicine. AIIA has a 200-bed referral hospital for facilitating clinical research. Once fully established, the Institute will have 25 Specialty Departments and 12 clinics with 8 inter-disciplinary research laboratories wherein several Scholars will have access to PG & Ph.D programs every year. | ||
