lab vaallu usual gaa check chesthaarugaa before the tests? who is this middleman Compass and how do they know if a lab is in or out of network? Do they get this info from insurance? Do all the negotiations as people suggested. Final step if nothing works. Ask the lab to bill again as your insurance is not covering and the initial assumption was insurance would cover it. Doctors/Hospitals/labs bill outrageous amounts (sometimes 10 to 50 times of what they actually expect) as the insurance does not pay fully whatever they bill. Step by step disco cheddam... - First thing is call Compass and ask them to work with Insurance... if they told you to go to a particular hospital they should open a claim with the hospital and insurance and help you out... you didnt go to the hospital, u were asked to go.. - Based on the out come of no. 1 above... if Compass says hands up call ur relevant dept in the company... Compass misguided you... u shouldnt be liable for their mistake... - after trying all the options and if you have to pay out of ur pocket... call the insurance and ask them for detailed bill... get them details of 8k and what is the cost of each... - ask ur insurance to work with the hospital/lab to get the discounted rates... medical industry practice is lab will bill insurance actuals but insurance will never pay total amount... they always pay the discounted rates... so call insurance to get them to talk to lab and get the discounted rates.... Naa example chepttha... I got blood work done and lab didnt cover few things so they sent me 500 dollars bill because insurance rejected them... i called insurance and asked them to work with lab and get discounted rates.. i finaly paid 50 bucks and case closed... - last but not least ask for monthly payments if possible | ||
