But try telling tht to a 16-19 yr old and he wud be revering Arjun Reddy as a benchmark and icon for youth. Story cheppe rakalu chala unnayi, many things can be said differently with subtility, instead of what is said in movie, but thats the directors choice of how he wants to tell the story. However the biggest issues with director is blaming people who didn't like the movie and when people like VH commenting about the obscene public display that they are taking away the joy of success by these issues. He thinks society will not react to whatever he does and thinks.. he might be living in a dream world. Thats absolutely scary thinking of someone who can make impact on the public thru his movies. He cannot act naive by giving those statements and supporting his hero of the public usage of curse words and making students say it.. This is modern take of classic novel Devadasu, except hero being aggressive and represent attitude of devil may care, as per today's youth.How else would you expect the hero to behave? Do you want to change the story of novel and hide alcohol/drug abuse of hero after love failure? Also visiting brothels and falling for only one girl therein most platonic way? You guys can write your own version of the novel, but this is Sandeeps's version. And it kicks ass. If you want lighter version of this movie, please watch ANR or SSK version of Devadasu, instead. There is no shock value in this movie.There is a blatant picturisation of lust in the movie.If you call this as a shock value ,its upto you. Honest movie ante enti.It should depict the true picture of society.If you think this is the true picture of society,then god save india. Coming to sankarabharanam,that is artistic depiction of two souls who in their life feel art is the pinnacle of their life and lived for it above human horizons. Please compare this film to that one. I agree this picture has some of its directorial sheen in the movie.Conceptually,this type movies are dangerous,since youth identifies themselves with the main chanracter which finally end up (i) Can f**k GF any no of times before marraige (ii) It is a right thing to consume alcohol and drugs in case of love failure (iii)Can abuse anyone if i feel disturbed and so on.. Tell me? We have brilliant movie makers in India to name some contemporary ones such as Guatham Menon, Raja Mouli, Mani, Some Hindi ones etc. Why they don't want too much hoesty? They are not dumb.
