AR is a cult classic for sure. it has received enough fanbase,attention and love for that. Whether or not it is a shattering Cultural Earthquake like Shiva is another matter.One thing is clear, it has moved a lot of people. and those people are in hype mode, this could be , for example like the hype when 7G Rainbow Colony was released because it connected with public, but now it is not really placed with other greatest classics, although still regarded as a nice movie. Which would make it a cult classic, this could be like that. but if VD becomes a sustained superstar then this movie will always be hyped  Prasthanam - Modern Classic! | ||

Shiva lanti moment replicate cheyyatamu will be very very rare, it is like Star Wars 1977, completely captured the attention of the entire society and was spoken about for years. Next movie appreciated like that but to a much lesser extent must have been Toli Prema. But Shiva was like Nirvana to rock, there is before and after Shiva. Eee movie ki antha scenu ledhu. AR movie brought all the recent new elements together and packaged it well and released it well with good publicity and marketing, and then it also has a good looking and acting star. this movie is very derivative, all aspects of it can be traced to recent movies.There is already a lot of cinema in the past few years where all directors are slowly trying to push the boundaries. For Shiva there was no progression, it was sudden. Wait for 5 years before comparing to such legendary movies. Media is always looking for the next big thing, in telugu cinema , such things are rare, so when an instance like this occurs, all fall in line and get into collective ecstasy that they are all experiencing a special moment in movie history. | ||
