After the over spoken Bramarambha character in Raarandoy Veduka Chuddam, definitely Rakul Preet Singh is on a high with one more performance centric role of Janaki in Jaya Janaki Nayaka set for release on August 11. Directed by Boyapati Sreenu with Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas as hero, the film is generating a positive buzz and Rakul has something to share about Janaki. “Jaya Janaki Nayaka is a differently treated film from director Boyapati garu, who is otherwise known for his signature action. There is a deep immersive love story full of sacrifices with strong emotion and action but the baseline love story is sensitively played,” Rakul said. About the dual shades in Janaki character, Rakul added “from a bubbly girl in caring family, my characterization changes with one incident. Audience feel emotionally connected with Janaki. I cried too much for this role. I used too much of glycerin because there are many scenes I need to weep. By end of the day at shooting, my eyes swell up and I used ice packs to relax myself. I told Boyapati sir that I will get old with wrinkles by the time this schedule ends up. Though I am hardcore romantic, I enjoyed getting into Janaki because of the characterization and touchwood; there are many scenes in the movie which touched my heart.” “Boyapati is one the smartest directors I worked. He knows our strengths and weaknesses. He does not want this film to be sold as action film with a hard title because of the love story and family emotions. So, he choose a soft title Jaya Janaki Nayaka which revolves around Janaki and most importantly there’s a family flavor,” Rakul praises Boyapati and enjoyed working for second time after Sarrainodu. "About hero of the film Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, he changed very much as an actor after working on this film. He has put in lot of hardwork and evolved as an artist. He got involved too much into this project. Under Boyapati's guidance, one can find a new and confident Sreenivas with firm body language," Rakul bought in a new chemistry besides the young hero. “In fact, I signed Jaya Janaki Nayaka at the same time while working for Sarrainodu. I knew Boyapati as a director with full conviction. He automatically changes the environment in set depending on the scene and he takes whatever he wants from the artists by builds up the situation. After Raarandoy, this is the contrasting character and Boyapati sir’s narration excited me,” Rakul says so. |
