I think it is not fair to compare Hyd/Bangalore metro with Kochi or any tier two cities..Kochi has soft and damp soil and easy to dig grooudn or even bore a underground tunnel Hyd/Bangalore underground is rocky and hard to dig through and takes more time Heavy traffic/dense population and no alternate routes to divert traffic will make work go a slow place These cities already have many flyovers and Metro lines have to over them The roads expansion is very time consuming as many structures have to be dismantled and make way for the metro construction Hyd metro passes through railways crossing at any places and to construct track over them needs permissions from Railways (Redtape and procedural delays) Politics may have impacted ..but have L&T completed the rest of the line BTW,,Bangalore Stated in 2006 and they just completed first phase of 12 kms | ||
