did you get this installed or came with house ? which brand? how much did it cost ? 1 1/2 ton unit ayithe it might cost 6k antunnadu for material, labor etc split ac ayithe 2500 lo all done but has limitations as said earlier Don't say you don't have enough time. may be.. but no choice as said below Considered one person hydraulic indoor elevator but decided against it for some reason already tried.. they are not comfortable as master bath is open walk through shower type with 2 entrances and open glass / digital controls etc. Even though it has master entrance door to lock.. they are still not comfortable to take shower... I am also HVAC engineer.If you can share the building plan and elevation,I can suggest if there is any solution if the room is around 100 sft,you can use flexible ducts (just like a flexible PVC pipe) and pass it over/under the beams (if the space permits) Also,you can install a split ac outside the room and carry the duct into the room But depends on elevation,room height/size,city building codes etc | ||

ledu bro.. unfortunately there are couple of LVL beams and spray foam insulation in between. Got couple of 3rd party AC guys to check and they all said same Not about money... we only have master bed/bath in 1st floor and rest all in 2nd floor. In-laws can't take stairs multiples times so building bed/bath started as a small project and becoming nightmare Don't say you don't have enough time. just bath conversion aa ? I am converting 3rd car garage to bedroom with full bath turning out to be huge project as we had to insulate external wall and dig / bore underground to run water / sewer lines etc just for ac or entire conversion ? how much is it costing. Last month I converted halh bath to full and costed me 7K. Paka street lo desi chepichadani I too got it done without negotiating.. everybody ids laughing at me. BTW, AC unit will have outlets vents and if you are not using any outlet, they shoulld just run a duct. If this is not an option..just get a split AC installed. It works well if the room is not too big | ||

We are adding a new bedroom / bathroom to our home in the first floor ( ground ). As per contractor, there is no way to connect to existing ducts in the home So we have two options: 1 - Install a mini split ac system for that room. It needs to be controlled by separately by remote / phone app etc This option costs lot less than 2nd option below 2 - Install small ac unit and install new duct/vents for that room I have seen split ac's in India but not many here... are there any downside to them ? are they not as efficient as central ac ?
