These guys own some shops in waterloo station. he recognized our language and came to us , chatted with us. He is a descendent one of the family who left to uk at the time of 1947. Information adigitaru iste malla kowtowing antaru etla tammi . I do not support the bad things done by anybody be it Nizam or KCR or CBN or Jagan or Modi. In general Last Nizam continued the traditions of the asaf jahi's before him anedi is what the people who lived(still alive) during that time tell us including my father and uncles and many others from that generation. This includes the subedar/zamindar system etc with all its pitfalls and abuses. Nizam peru cheppangane first matladedi he paraded people naked etc, do we ever talk about the hierarchy that existed at that time nizam was at the top of the chain and his command was just in and around the city, in all of the other areas the power was centered and controlled by the zamindars - a.k.a our own religion people. Major abuses were by our own people(patels and patwaris) on our people, nobody talks about this. This happened for decades even before the razakar movement. At the time of independence Hyderabad was still majority Hindu with about 20 % muslims but the political arragements were contrasting. All major political appointments were to muslims ruling the hindu majority (totally contrast to Kashmir). Qasim Rizvi was a small time lawyer and and he was not even from Hyderabad he was from Lathur (now in maharashtra). Rizvi was a hardcore muslim who saw no reason for the Nizam to relinquish the position and integrate with India. So he started influencing the Nizam and the first step was to organize a huge demonstration in october 1947 against the agreement between Nizam and Union of India which is called standstill agreement. The demonstrations actually forced them to call off their visit to delhi to sign the agreement. Rizvi was successful in influencing the Nizam that he could still stay in power and as per the terms of British granting independence to India they can chose to be a independent country. With this background and influence of Rizvi Nizam approached the U.N Security council also to see if option of staying independent or merging with pakistan was possible due to the clause in the conditions of granting independence by the British. When the Indian Union went ahead and started annexing the other princely states Razakar movement picked up steam. Nizam kept quiet and Rizvi started building the armed forces and started the mayhem. Rest you know what happened. Nizam's role in this can never be condoned. Please do note that there are ample cases in our own religion where our rulers abdicated responsibility or colluded with others to bring downfall of other kings, the only thing is the loss of lives of common people and the hardships they faced are not known to us as it is not recorded anywhere. Due to his following he apparently used to get messages in and out to his followers and continued to build his base. The government realized this and moved him to Yeravada jail in pune and he was released in 1957 when one of his followers drove him back to adikmet. An invitation was sent to 140 of his party main followers and only few turned up. Apparently at this point he wanted to turn over the party to anybody who was willing to take it up and then it was the Owaisi who took up the leadership. Qasim flew to pakistan on sep18 of that year and went to work with the mohair community as a lawyer and died in 1970. In Pakistan, no body cared for him. He setup a practice a lawyer in Karachi. he was alive in pak for about 12 years, and died . he got no official government posts in Pak. Indian muslims who made it big were mainly punjabi's around Lahore, rawalpindi, Multan areas. Non-Punjabi indian muslims suffered quite a bit in Pak | ||

Rizvi was released from jail with an agreement ... that he will go to pakistan. The day he came out , he gathered a meeting with a lot of muslims of his party. None ready to take over his party ...owasi took it ..he was very young...thats how it landed into his hands. but there is no info after moving to pakistan. He should have given some position ..
