China has excess production in building materials, steel. They have old power projects which they are stripping down and installing in other countries. They have surplus manpower and money. Basically they want new colonies to sell. They can't sell these in open competition with western companies, so they need captive markets like Pakistan with state guarantees. | ||

sorry, you might not be knowing that Chinese Will only employ thier own people from China (The first condition for their investment) You can check the uprising or China Towns and colonies in Africa ,South America,Burma,Sri Lanka and every where they are investing and building infra structure projects | ||

It is like a bankrupt getting approved for $100k Credit card with a zero percent teaser interest for 1st year and 20% actual interest rate what will he do ? Will go on spending spree left and right..but when the time comes up for re-payment,the real story starts ! The same is china doing now..It is giving away LOANS to china at 8% interest rates (IMF and World bank charges 1 to 2% rates) with 1 year no repayments..Teh condition is all projects should be undertaken by Chinese companies and all material,machinery and men are imported from China with zero percent takes/duties ..Thee loans are not paid to Pakistan directly..but in Chinese Yuan to Chinese companies in china..so no actually flow of money directly to Pakistan Pakistan has $20 billion forex reserves..and they are dwindling fast (with remittances falling due to Poor job market in Gulf and export coming down)..last year Pakistan borrowed $3 billion just to boost forex reserves artificially From 2018 Pakistan should pay $2 billion every year just for interests on foreign loans and $6 billion every year from 2020 Very soon China will take control over Pakistan | ||
