Most directors peaked early and then didn't know what to do afterwards. That's how guna, vv vinayak, puri went to shed. ssr started with very average movies and slowly started peaking. if today u watch sye, u will note many mistakes or illogical scenes. interval bang and post interval lo oka 20 mins peak was his formula.
until yamadonga SSRM was in the same league as VV vinayak, puri etc but once he started mixing technology, CG to story telling, he took it to a different level. story is simple but he combines it with right amount of emotion.
