Totally, asalu ela theesthadayya ilanti scenes - aa editing, aa music build up, a tempo - hall lo standing ovation and whistles..

Absolutely....This is the reason we go to a theatre...

To feel the tempo building up, adrenaline rush, the tempo rising to a crescendo and those exhilarating goosebumps....

And today....No one does it better than SS Rajamouli in the Indian Cinema.

In an age where media is everywhere right in your palm to watch more and more web content, SSR has again dragged in class and mass alike to theatres, to feel 'Big Fantasy Cinema' thereby witnessing a Pan India Hysteria unheard of especially for a Southern Dubbed film!

This is Fckin EPIC on gargantuan Proportions!

The magnanomity of Baahubali doesnt lie in its content and mere numbers....Even though flawed, it has dared to dream big and deliver even bigger....thereby opening the eyes and doors of Indian cinema to push our boundaries of reach even further.

Trust me....Indian Cinema shall never be the same again. There shall be many more who shall try on a bigger canvas in fantasy genres and it shall only get better.

Hatsoff SSR....You gave a trailer to the world what you are capable of and smthin which we always knew.

You are the Emperor of Commercial Cinema in India.

Here's to even more such projects and success!!

More importantly they are not relevant, take the 15 mins before the interval, there are no special effects but it is the best 15 mins of the movie.

Have to get back to work after skipping first half - quick review..

Starting with one of the finest title sequences in Telugu movies - a refresher course on BB1 for those who might have forgotten (unlikely though), the movie is an awesome reminder on why we see movies - for its visual grandeur, for its gripping emotions, for its larger than than life characters and narratives..the movie is a reminder to the country on who's the Boss - SSR, the movie is a slap in the fact of folks who felt that BB1 was a fluke...and above all the movie shows what hard work, professionalism, humility, can achieve...take a bow SSR..

Coming to the story, i can't reveal much now as many are yet to see the movie. The movie has so many clap worthy scenes and goosebump creating moments, i am amazed at how SSR was able to weave so many of them into the same movie. The fight in Kunthala, teaching Devasena to shoot multiple arrows, the interval block, how Bahubali's identity is revealed to Devasena, Devasena's interrogation in the palace, ennenno....

What holds the movie together is the brilliant screenplay, everything is so deftly handled without creating too much plot complexity. Everything is weaved together neatly and nothing appears forced.

The movie is a good nice political treatise - power ultimately resides among those who people love and not the king in title, about Dharma, women's rights, etc etc.

The climax is indeed disappointing and a bit rushed. But ultimately you come out fully satisfied. When people complain about special effects, they could have been better but most people would not realise the difference and could not care less. More importantly they are not relevant, take the 15 mins before the interval, there are no special effects but it is the best 15 mins of the movie. Ultimately what matters are the emotions and that is where Rajamouli aces it again and again
