yep , I know a case , friend in canada , where wife wants to send money to parents and husband did not agree , they had huge fights and she harassed husband so much , she did not put 498A in India as the inlaws are powerful , finally husband said enough is enough , and applied for divorce , it took couple of years of separation for him and as he became a canadian citizen , she was not able to do anything , now she is working in a gas station , that is the last I know - | ||

Nope ,does not work like that in US .. Simple example .. Wife earns a Million, husband 0, and they have net worth or 5 million and all earned by Wife , they apply for divorce , huband gets 2.5 Million of the hard earned money of wife , even if it is from hear inheritance , this is if both has no kids. The dead body of Telangana NRI Madhukar Reddy, who committed suicide in the US on April 4, was brought to his native place and the cremation was done on Tuesday. When Madhukar's wife Swathi came to see his body one last time before cremation, his family members have allegedly attacked her. They accused her of causing severe mental stress to Madhukar and pushing him to take the extreme step. Swathi's father reportedly sustained injuries in the scuffle. Swathi's family members have lodged a police case against Madhukar's family members accusing them of physical attack. Married to Swathi who also works as an IT employee in Seattle, Madhukar also has a six year old school going daughter.
