If music of film is demand and has market before and after the film release,the producers will not have any problem paying music directors or Singers The shelf life of Telugu Music is very less compared to Hindi Music How many of you have bought a Telugu music CD in last 5 yrs ? Earlier music companies used to fight for the audio rights as soon as new movie is announced..now the scene is reverse..cos everyone is either lisening to music on FM stations or downloanding (piracy) or just streaming for free. | ||

At one point of time, GM was considered behind malavika, Pranavi and chaitra. She mostly sang track, chorus & background scores. In some ETV contest she lost in semis. Things changed after Chiruta; she sang in almost all of Puri's movies - neninthe, golimar, businessman, iddaramayilatho, temper etc etc. On par with SPB in PR and thats not an exaggeration. I think even if she comes to software, she will become a director in a record time. i genuinely haven't seen a smarter girl than her in my lifetime and and am saying so in complete awe of her - honest. | ||

It's been like this forever. Singer Mano on IDream interview was saying if you even smile friendly to the poducer, they will ask to reduce or not take remuneration. Situation in playback singing is pretty bad. They never earn as much as North people. A person like SPB/Mano had to work day and night to earn what they have. These two were smart to save well. Female singers probably have it worse. Matter of prestige for South people to use North, so they pay more to them. Even that is reducing since every donkey voice hero wants to sing these days. | ||
