Let us compare my area in NC to SAN JOSE CA...

A person in SAN JOSE CA need to earn 50 to 60%% more salary (AT LEAST) to maintain same standard of living (I know with much smaller house) like mine! Housing in BAY AREA very very expensive than NC, TN, FL, TX etc and also very expensive compared expensive EAST COAST places like NoVA, DC etc.

Maa cousin 1875 Sq FT house 1.1 million petti konnadu and 25 year old! Exact same age and Sq Ft house naa place lo kavali ante ye 175K ki osthadi...now you can say why it is difficult to buy a house in BAY AREA!

I dont see a hard crash like 2009 (as most of the buyers this round have more staying power)...but stagnate avutayi for the next few years ani nna estimate...I think we are seeing signs of that in the last year. Inka long term, my reasoning is jobs will move to lower cost places...but kontha mandhi no way bay area will always be like that antaaru. Historically Detroit and to a lesser extent New York ilaage anukune vaaaru...but Detroit lost jobs and new york has hit a stagnation/slow decline phase.
