Mrhyderabad:

not knowing about ins companies?

this

ameriprise is a vendor in costco
costco does not guarantee quality of ins. ...return isthay costco waadu dabbulu isthaada
they are way better ins. options

minor accident does not change the rate drastically...every 1-2 yrs kee yehdo okati awuthaa untaayi
many ( a lotttt) do home + auto ins. rolled into one as they get better deal
there are commuter type...insurance by options too

Mrhyderabad:

r u sure? i thought most of local agents bit the dust after online tools came in to play

you can show your online tools price to these agents and they come up with better price or match it

if you are FTE, your company personal plans will give you best price.

alage local agents come handy during claims/accidents/flat tires/towing

adey customer service takes your time and you will be stuck

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein

Yes, to buy Ameriprise you need cotco membership. Thing is GEICO gave me lower rate compared to Ameriprise last yr. So Still continuing GEICO .

Gerenal rule is shop around for every two years and buy which ever cheaper

all insurance co's do credit checks, but I think they are soft pulls, credit rating/score won't be affected

I've got good rate with Geico -> Esurance. Allstate vadu konnaka esurance rates penchadu, now jumped to AAA

I heard Ameriprise gives good rates.. is this only for costco members ?

Any experience in switching ins companies?

I think some of them pull credit also hence don't want to shop around too much..

Any other suggestions?
