Jambalahaart_raja:Can CPAs access my Federal Tax Account and check and tell me what's the status between 2015 and 2016 Tax Years?
You can print your old returns from Turbo tax. At least for the years that you used them. But CPA wouldn't know if you have some tax already paid to uncle sam as credit. If you can, ask for a statement of tax credit or visit their local office for clarification or instructions. |

Seeker:.atleast now go to CAP..he will get back your money even from earlier year also...but you have to pay atleat $200.
its not about the 200. many cases where incompetent CPAs(also greedy clients), caused audits. thokkalo same amount vache daaniki oka appointment, trading transactions manual entry ki inko 100$(seriously, what sw do they use?) all said, how do they get more than turbotax legally? why cannot we claim those on turbotax or self filing? |

Based on what I understood , a part of payment was taken as estimated taxes for 2016. So this year (in turbotax) go into federal tax - deductions &credits and find estimated taxes paid. Enter the prepaid amount. Your situation is similar to paying estimated taxes on 1040-ES. |

Year after Year vaaditoney file chesthunnaa. But last year naaku pettesaadu.. ee year inkaa ghoram. In 2015 I had to pay $X amount for Federal Tax Year, and $Y for NJ State. I filed through TurboTax and authorized them to deduct from my Personal Account. Last Day of Tax Filing, TurboTax sends me an email, there will be delay in processing the payment. I tried contacting them, customer support was not helping at all. Rushed to pay taxes via Authorized Bank Checks, hoping to ask TurboTax to stop the deduction later. Next day I see, TurboTax also deducted same amounts from my Personal Account. Again, Customer Support lathkhor. NJ State promptly agreed there was double payment and refunded with a check. Federal was even tough to handle. After months of calling, one lady finally took time and spoke to me and checked on my situation, and suggested that she can see that 2015 Tax Year $X has been taken-in, and remaining $X has already been applied to 2016 Tax Year. Breathed relief finally. Today, TurboTax is ruining me again. There is no way for TurboTax to acknowledge that $X is already paid from the $Z that I need to pay for 2016 Tax Year. $X that was applied from 2015 to 2016, elaa acknowledge cheyaali? Can Tax Consultants do that? I never went to Tax Consultants because there is no need for me to do Itemized, and they are typically more expensive than TurboTax. I have never known Tax Consultants charging below $150 in NJ for even Standardized Deductions. How to handle this situation? "Chill Bro. I told you to let it go!!" - The Budhha. |
