Here is a couple of my hit-and-bun experiences: 1) I parked my car and went into a volunteer workshop, on return, the volunteers told me that someone has hit your car and drove away ... they gave the car number. I called the police and two days later, police gave me the name, phone and address of the driver and asked me if I can settled down with the driver if not, police case will be registered. Called the driver(another Gulte), scarred his balls off.. settled with smart check. 2) A Gulte wife backed on to our back(yeas kisssing annattu)... drove away but shouted back her phone number.(apparently she doesnt have driving license or something, quickly drove away. Immediately called 911, officer asked me to file online hit-and-fun complaint. I did so, after few minutes, Mr Gulte(hubbs of the driver) called me and shouted on me that we yeass kissed their van yeass... I said, pl go and work with police as I have already filed hit-and-bun as police asked me to file. End of the story is, their insurance paid us :-) 3) ( I am at fault): At a dentist office, on a recent HEAVY RAINY day, I am backing and kissed a be-yem-doubleU. The driver came to me from the dentist office, I gave him my phone number to call me back with the estimate of fix. So far, no call from him. | ||

Call the cops back and tell them that you would like to file a complaint as that person fled the scene. If they try to convince you otherwise, tell them that you will consider dropping the charges if they come forward. But See if you can take a picture of the damage to their truck--- Tread very carefully with this. | ||

Looks like the cops are taking the side of an American against an immigrant. In most states, Hit & Run is a felony. They have to file a case when you report it, even if it a misdemeanor. Inform your insurance company about your conversation with police. | ||

ninna evening day care nundi kid ni pickup chesukoni intiki vasthunna, intersection daggara right turn cheyyataniki wait chesthunnapudu ...oka pikcup truck vachi rear end chesindhi car ni...luckily kid ki emi kaaledhu...nenu car side ki aapi bayatiki diganu...vaadu idhey chance anukoni paaripoyadu fortunately I was able to remember 6 letters out of 7 of his license plate...cops ki call chesthey we can't do much since you dont have all the numbers annadu...ivvala morning day care ki drop cheyyataniki vellinappudu...aa locality oka round vesthey ...pakkka lane lo undhi all letters were matching including the color of the pickup truck... malli cops ki call chesthey hit and run misdemeanor, why do you want to prosecute them, just get their insurance info and call it a day ani India type lo matladuthunnadu.. what are my options here? should i wait for their insurance or should I call my insurance get my car taken care of while the cops get the other parties insurance? |
