Why fear to stay in USA? Crimes are no more than daily in India. At least, your daughters and wives are relativly safe. Look at what is happening in India. How many silently watch as women are molested on trains, buses? You have to be lucky to afford having two cars. How many people come to your aid? Even in USA, a white guy will stop to help accident victim. The moral sense is still there? Only reason to go back is elderly parents. But I see many in India who hardly have time due to work and home life. Many still live in another city from parents and visit once or twice a year. No different from USA. | ||

this is not the case with one office. i had to deal with similar situations in gram panchayat office. applied for abc certificate. SLA is 7 days. day 1:- applied for cert with all the necessary docs clerk xyz:- the madam (computer operator) who is supposed to print the certificate is not here today. stop by around 3 pm . she will print it and have it signed by sir. went back at 3 pm:- madam is still not here. meeru oka pani cheyyandi. repu 10 ki randi. aame ostadi. (i dont understand how he became a clerk or "the sir " became an officer in state govt with out knowing how to operate a effing computer) day 2:- computer operator came. but printer is not working come back tomorrow day 3:- computer madam is not there and also printer is not working. come back at 4. hopefully printer will be fixed and madam will be back. went back at 4.30:- your certificate is approved but printer is still not working . once the printer starts working we will print it and have it signed with sir. by this time i am so pissed of. so i want straight to that sir and asked whats going on why this delay with the printer by this time it is 5 pm . and i am talking directly to the "sir" who is supposed to sign the certificate once it is printed. sir:- unfortunately printer is not working unfortunately i cannot do anything. it will be fixed tomorrow. me:- since you are here, give me a copy of the document if you have , i will have it printed somewhere else and you can sign it. sir:- no we cannot do that since it is govt document you cannot print it where ever you want . only we have to do it. dont worry it will be fixed and i will personally get it printed and signed first thing tomorrow morning. day4;- went there at 11.30. not body showed up to work except some attender. asked where is the sir. attender:- sir went to hyderabad for a training and wont be back for another 4 days. that mofo "sir" lied straight to my face that he will be in office next day while he know that he is not going to be in office. i was so pissed and called in some favors and see if they can get it signed asap. everybody got the same answer sir is in hyderabad and no body else can sign except him. i told one of the contacts either the staff are lieing or the 'sir ' lied to me the other day and asked if he can find out whats going on. i came to know that the 'sir' want to madiga mana sabhalu in hyderabad and he will not be back for 4 days. | ||

that effing sir was there in the office till 10.45. and left few mins before our ahole xyz showed up to work. day 3:- show up at 10.30. xyz :- sir is in a meeting wait till noon. me:- this is the third straight day i've been here.said i am from out of town and ive been staying in a hotel. xyz:- sorry sir, please give me the docs and your phone number. i will have it signed this afternoon and start the next step as soon as the officer signs the doc. i will call you if i need anything else. me:- fine thank you. gave all the docs and said appreciate the help. asked for his phone number so that i can follow up xyz:- not necessary sir. i have your phone number, i will call if needed more over everything became online noe as soon as the office signed the doc, i will update everything online and you will get text message about the status. since i am out of town , i went back to the office after 2 weeks to follow up. went to the xyz guy asking for status. xyz said. you did not give ppp document so officer did not sign the document . get a xerox copy of the document and i will have it signed in no time. me:- but you did not tell me about this doc couple weeks back. xyz:- sir would never sign an applicaiton with out that doc. so i would have defnetly told you about that doc, you did not submit it me:- but you verified all the docs i gave you twice and said you have everything that is needed. xyz:- dont worry about it. just get a copy of the doc now and i will have your form signed with in no time. sir is also here now . come fast. me:- gave the copy immediately coz i happened to have it in my backpack. xyz:- calles attender ghi and asks him to take the form and have it signed by the sir. ghi:- sir is talking to someone now. i will have it signed as soon as they go xyz asks me to sit outside and he will call me after it is signed. | ||

i dont want to disclose all the details but here is a snap shot. applied for a certificate. sla is 30 days. day 1 -> went to the office asked the clerk name xyz, "i would like to apply for so and so certificate , what is the process." he explained the steps to me and said it will take 30 days. i specifically asked him is there a way we can get it done early . the answer is no. situations changed, everything is strict etc etc BS. fine i gathered all the documents he asked for and went back to the same guy and gave him all the docs . this is how the conversation went. xyz:- you did not get this abc form me:- i asked you about this couple hours back you did not mention anything about it xyz:- looks like i forgot to tell you. i am juggling between n number of things. get the form, sir is here i will get it signed as soon as you get the form me:- where can i get the form xyz:- go ask around, in the xerox shops across the street they will have the form ME:- ok. went and asked 5 different shops no body has a clue what the form is so went back and told the xyz i asked all the stores no form why dont you give me one if you have. xyz:- we dont have the forms here, why dont you ask more, there are few more bookstalls 2-3 kms from here try there ghi (office boy):- try xxx book stall they will have it. this xxx book stall is 5 kms from the office. so went there, that greedy baxturd book stall owner wanted 20 rs for the form . any ways since i have no other option i bought the form filled out and by the time i went back to xyz guy its 4.30 pm and the officer who is supposed to sign the doc left for the day. so xyz asked me to come back tomorrow | ||
