This is the problem when we try to think in a local maxima or minima condition. Why did this issue of H4 backlog come in the first place ? This is a problem only for Desis and to some extent chinese. This is due to 7% per country cap restrictions on GC issued in EMPLOYMENT category. They do not see country of origin while issuing H1b but add this to the EB GC's. They already have a separate category for diversity and this per country cap doesn't make sense. Due to this desis as a group are losing big compared to rest of the country folks. We leave all this aside and fight within ourselves creating divisions along lines of citizens, gc, h1, opt, ms etc. On a side note, shame on all those folks who are afraid of competition from little more folks added to the labor pool. Not everyone wants to come into IT field. They want the freedom to work in their chosen field of interest. | ||
