transformers (or any such item) is purchased on on L1 basis in any govt organization in India. L1 means only the lower bidder will be asked to supply the transformers. If you get Vijaya electricals type of good quality transformers at 1000/, some other fellow will by a local cheap quality brand for Rs 400 and bid for Rs 500. Then he has profit of Rs 100 per transformer. Vijaya Elect type of high quality supplier can never supply for less than Rs 500/- and they can not reduce the quality of the items they manufacture. add commissions to the purchase dept, too | ||

Why do transformers fail / blow out so often in desam nellore lo parents vunna apartment building lo transformer keeps failing quite often like once in 6 months or 1 year... they replaced it couple of times.. re-wired it few times, changed oil etc they keep collecting money from all flat owners and on top of that lights, fans etc blow out every time this happens same thing happens in Hyd apartment complex also where we rented out an apt i hear it quite often from every where in desam what causes it? why does it happen so often? Don't say you don't have enough time.
