where are you getting this info from? i use my TV remote - which is from year 2009, to control sonos sound bar volume in addition to the sonos apps on iphone, ipad etc...you can also control sound bar in phone/ipad's locked mode as well | ||

I bought Bose soundbar and woofer ( together £1200) last week in an outlet store. Got 15% off in outlet , so got it for £1020. Still struggling to get it work with all types of devices. Mine is samsung tv(Smart) got HDMI Arc. Connected Sky HD, Bluray player to TV. TV ARC To BOSE woofer ARC - > Sometimes it works , some time it is not recognized. Someone mentioned on forums that if there are more than one input to TV bose is not recognized. The workaround is disconnect other sources or switch off them . Hm...not a great idea. I need to see if anything works. Subwoofer is automatically connected to sound bar but again it needs power. Only good thing is it can be placed anywhere. I got socket next to TV about 5 feet away. Cannot see woofer much in action. I read not all tvs are able to produce 5.1 through HDMI ARC or Optical. Not sure about my TV. Finally, I will check this weekend again and return it if not satisfied. If you watch lot of movies with 5.1 audio, it may be good option otherwise not a great idea. Sonos does not have HDMIs. Only way is Optical.It never integrates with TV remote or any other remote. Downside is you need to control it using your phone everytime to increase or decrease volume etc. | ||

1) enti sonos or bose? 2) I am aware that 5.1 and proper cinema systems will give proper sound..but too much to handle all the clutter around best soundbar..with bluetooth enabled..and best sound outputs cheppandi? |
