so true. if you think, when did our forefathers migrated to their current place. we don't even know. My mothers ancestor craeted a village 200 years ago. but they say he moved from a place within same district. my father ancestors are there int hat village forever. no body knows when it started.
but we are making an important decision to migrate. to renounce your indian and adopt a different country where you are no longer a majority but a minority within a minority is a major thing. you cant just do this for economic reasons only unless you believe in the society and spirit of america.
Like any new migrant, we and our kids will endure some bad incidents. but we chose to stay here based upon our overall assessment of stability and goodness of this country.

America as a system and society is based on equality and law. That does not mean all americans are 100% law abiding and promote racial harmony. not even america no society can be like that. so bad incidents happen and law and order will catch them. As immigrants we can decide if these incidents are a norm or one off. If you feel former, leave the country or stay.
you cant expect there will never be racist incidents but can expect if such thing happens, society delivers you justice.
