My observations of the test match :

They lost to SL, WI as well.
They had a losing streak at Durban for a few years (pretty much like spin backfiring on India in this match and against Eng in 2012), pace and bounce helped weaker visiting teams level the field

They should. We beat SA 3-0 on such pitches, it is not a big deal to still win this series.
It's like India beating Aus in Perth 2008 - you can do it once, but over a larger sample - India is the better team on spinning tracks and slower pitches. Aus on faster and bouncy pitches.
We gifted this match to Aus, than them winning it. If the team plays with the intensity they showed against Eng/SA (at home), we will win a 4 match series played on rank turners 99 out of 100 times
