NJAC itself has some issues but that is a different matter. NJAC says the elected people like PM, law minister etc., should have some say in the selection of judges. Current selection of judges is rigged. They are a cabal who are selecting their kin as next judges. More than 50% of current SC judges are related to either former judges or current judges in other courts | ||

Good point. Politicians tried to control SC via NJAC Act. but when SC refused political interference in the appointments of HC and SC judges, they are now tryhing to contain the courts by increasing vacancies. Courts are grossly understaffed. Those who blame the courts for delays must look at the number of cases an SC judge handles each day. Writing a judgement in Sasikala case is not like writing a 10th class essay answer. Most people who make such comments can't even read the judgement in a day. in another incident, when AP police were manning the security of airports (CISF is assigned to that task now across all airports in the country), one of the constable working at security check at Begumpet airport tried to frisk the assistant of a High court Justice (which was ok as per protocol). In that process he behaved in a way that irked the Justice. I was summoned immediately from my office in the next building as I was in-charge of ops and the sub-inspector there was summoned too. That poor constable was suspended in five minutes for contempt of court/ Justice and SI was issued a memo and departmental action. I was excused with a verbal warning. So..bottom line...denkutharu..no games  | ||
