naku telisindhi cheputhanu.. If you don't have any other tickets in last 3 years, call the court clerk and ask them for 'reduction in infraction' some courts have standard format . They will tell what to do . If they don't, they will ask you write a letter requesting that. Generally , they follow up with a reduction in charge . Most likely they will change it to non moving violation and let you know fine + surcharge . This will take 3 - 4 weeks. As long as your driving record is decent and don't have dwi, this will work Be patient and talk to the court clerk. You can go to the court too but that is quite a bit of waste in time If you pay fine directly , you are admitting guilty to full extent of the charge . Insurance companies misuse chestayi dhenni. This worked for me 3 times in last 10 yrs . Once in Ohio and twice in any state. | ||

I usually pay traffic tickets as I treat them as a way of doing charity or contributing to the society we live in. I don't have patience to go to court and waste almost 1/2 day of my time, basically I am lazy :-) | ||
