In fact this was the most boring budget i have seen in decades in my 25 years of budget watching. At a time when we are coming out of demo, protectionism in US and global uncertainty, there should be more imagination in solutions. - Banks NPAs clean up cheyataniki plan enti - without NPA clean up of banks, credit growth will not happen and private investment will not revive. Most economists were suggesting setting up a bad bank that will take over the bad loans and free up the balance sheets for more lending. This was what was done in many past financial crises. - Hasten the corporate tax rate from the 4 year roadmap earlier announced. - Total stimulus was probably around 15000 cr, they should have invested more in roads, highways. With little private investment (see 1st bullet point above) and no stimulus from the government, where is GDP growth going to come from. - The only other avenue for GDP growth apart from govt exp, private investment and consumption is exports. Our exports have been suffering badly, they should have introduced export subsidies etc There can be N number of ways to dig yourself out of the hole. | ||

Horrible budget, terrible in a nutshell,if you slept for 2 hours and woke up now you would not have missed anything....voreyi NDA vedhavallara, this is your 4th budget post 2014 elections. Asalu emi sadincharu ra 3 years lo. Siggu padandi at the lost opportunities. This budget also shows the lack of any obvious benefits from demonetisation. If there were, they would have passed on some benefits to the public. | ||
