To do this - why did you need to undertake this demonetization exercise? To do what you are saying - the govt. needs to invest in the IT infrastructure and manpower of the Income tax Department and ensure traceability - but no political party - especially BJP which is flush with funds will want to do this. Digitalization - Take for example Kesineni or Kaleswari travels. They have been selling thier tickets via Online portals for the past 7-8 years. And yet they do not pay tax - because their book expenditure is more than the accrued revenue. To stop this mis reporting, you need to bring in traceability - and the only way to do this is increase manpower and IT infra for the Income Tax Dept. | ||

Exactly. Dead-brains with no knowledge of how the system works spreading this failure propaganda. Idea was to get the money in the system and now this is no longer hidden money. People will have to pay taxes and penalties on money deposited in banks if it is beyond certain amounts and government will make about billions of rupees in taxes which is great. | ||
