I cant comment on this issue but in India, the way they carry chickens around is anything but gruesome.. bathiki vundagaaanee vaatini champestaaru.. last visit lo, many times have seen chickens stuffed in small mesh like cages and you can see they dont have any place to move; many of them lost their feathers, weak.. and you can see death in their eyes literally.. when it was very cold outside these are carried on highways with no cover so they are suffered inhumanely with the cold and wind. and, people are carrying them like potlakayalu on the back of their motor bikes with them just next to the exhaust and wheels!! too much cruelty! | ||

my friend used to work in top restuarant in india.. he used to tell me that every day chicken form guys used to bring dead chicken and sell it for half the price or much lesser price. usually chicken can die for various reasons. one of them is serious health issue.. that meat should not be consumed.. but mana india lo.. all light..
