this is not the same scenario. The airport security check is for every one. There is no profiling. And it is primarily beefed up after 9/11. I still remember the days you could walk to the gate without any checking. There is nothing wrong with security. why should you leave it? its like saying i will use public transport instead of private transport. evrybody should do the same. yes too many cars cause pollution and/or accidents. To argue that banning private transportation will lead to saving lives is not right.

we moved beyond wild Wild West days. We created society and system. You don't need good guy to wield a gun to stop a bad guy with gun. Let's leave it to trained experts and this may be where we need to err on side of law enforcement ! this is a slippery slope. Imatgine if good guy has a gun too. He would not have harmed anyone. you cant stop a bad guy from procuring a gun illegally. but by restricted gun laws, you are disabling a mans right for self defense.
why not? They can check my home 100 times as long as they dont implant any evidence.
